Why oh why is there 12 episodes in this season?

There is at least 4 more episodes in Wasteland monument. No matter if they decide to cut content or just end it in some random place it will be absolute fuckup.

My guess is because the studio is inexperienced (they only had one donghua released before this one), a while back I saw Magic Motion was the studio that will develop the third season, but then it changed to DC Impressions, either the covid lockdown was part of the reason for the change in studio and / or it was because they didnt want to affect Doupo Cangqiong 5th season and Yuan Qi's releases this month AND they are also doing Da Zhu Zai (The Great Ruler) which will be released in October this year, supposedly
So either because of their inexperience or the studio was picked as a stopgap measure, I just hope one day Wudong Qiankun goes back to Magic Motion

I'm thinking its more that they want to follow suit because season 1 and 2 was also 12 episodes too.

Well I cant really complain, take a look at The Strongest Male Hero Ever... 10 episodes of nothing but the MC cultivating with the side character doing his best to get attention of the female character even though he comes across as a horn dog. At least we're getting more content with this donghua lol

its worse than My Journey in an Alternate World but that one has more content to it than just cultivating in the first 10 episodes. I saw the opening song for the new origin version for Doupo Cangqiong. I didnt like it that much and felt they could have used something better considering how popular this donghua seems to be.

I have to finally go watch the trailer for "The Great Ruler" and see if they're picking up at the last season or if it's a new series all together. I don't even know if it's continuing in 2d or changed into 3d, which if done right I have no issues with either form.

It is from scratch... THANKS GOD... the animation was pure crap. Not only bad, they also had some insanity bug and completely changed the story. It is reasonable why that crap was cancelled

It's in 3d, whether it is a second season continuing from the 2d season 1 or a reboot is unknown at the moment, well at least for me lol

Kind of, been a while since I read the novel back in 2011 , this is one of the two novels of the author that I I didnt read like 5 times lol so my memory is fuzzy

Actual ending of this novel starts in separate short novel of the Ice Tribe and then it finally gets real (well done) ending in The Great Ruler. BTTH is also the same, it also ends in TGR. If you don't read TGR, both WDQK and BTTH end... crappy, bad, unsatisfactory, missing conclusions....

And TGR, although it has a decent ending, it is really wrapped up in Heaven's List.

To get the whole story, you need to read

- BTTH
- TGR
- Heavens List

At that point you realize that Yuan, Lin Dong, Xiao Yan, Mu Chen were just minor characters of the whole plot where main plot was evolution of perpetual antagonists (fiends) to finally get to the point where they fit protagonist

I wonder why too, 12 episodes is definitely not enough to fulfill my hunger, barely double that satisfies my insatiable appetite smh!! I NEED MORE aha!!

For me (I read all the novels in this series) is not so much about more but rather about plot.

Anyone who read the novel knows how bad fuckup 1st and 2nd seasons were regarding the main plot. They cut so much vital content which is needed in understanding the whole thing or to make later events make sense.

So far they cut everything relevant about Swirl symbol (the piece of wood he got in the S1 when he got his mental root symbol and became mental master). WARNING!!!! HEAVY SPOILER FOR THE PLOT!!!! The symbol bares heavy relation to Devouring Ancestor Symbol since it was created from it, except one devours yuan and one mental power. Later you even realize that mental masters are product of research from Symbol Ancestor who in reality descended from upper plane (3000 worlds which is plane where TGR is placed) where he was just minor character who was stuck in cultivation. Those stuck like that had descending to lower plane to ascend to Heavenly Sovereign as one of the best options. Lower plane had different constraints and different energies giving them different options to get enlightened. That is how Symbol Ancestor created mental power (which is variation of Battle Formation Master, which comes with constraints of the need for larger and larger armies. Mental master is sufficient by himself. It is not that mental masters could not exist in the 3000 worlds, but different and more rich energies lead it to evolve to Array masters, which are stronger than mental masters, but the caveeat is that arranging array is slow and hard to use in battle. It is just a power or speed and flexibility and this is why Lin Dong is so prominent in TGR. He is already strong as fuck due to combining different energies and then he has mental power. Mental power would be useless for Mu Chen) and was very successful in refining treasures far above the plane level. But, all that still was not enough and so he diverted his goal to became plane ruler by absorbing planetary seed, which was the same goal as fiend emperors. Even main antagonist of WDQK is basically cannon fooder in TGR where WDQK really ends.

S2 cut all the content in power struggles in yan city and this will be heavy burden on later events.

If they cut content here, god can only help them fix the plot with Life/Death Ancestor Symbol. Both, the history of the sect inside the monument, the Eagle Martial Sect are connected to it and the next events connect those two for later.

Ah....yes the next destination is as important for Lin Dong cultivation.

The Sect Elder's existence was solely for the purpose of a plot armor in this episode. His job was done and now he's useless. And how do they all know there "was" a rune puppet there tho none of them saw before. Was there a "Rune Puppet Room" board hanging outside so others could see? Should have shown so I would know too. Fighting each other just for plot holes smh.

They found information long ago during earlier openings and that information is not even a secret since everyone knows it. I already wrote whole thing few comments below.

Animation cut a lot of content which explains that.

In novel whole place is littered with remains of puppets which needed to be fought to get to that place. Puppet Sect entered treasury every time with that goal and each time they cleaned some and then treasury closed forcing them to wait another 3 years. The reason that they got there is also the reason why Qianqian was sent by her sect there as well to prevent that happening in any way. Their goal is just to remove the puppet from the equation of power struggle between the sects. That is why she agrees with Lin Dong stealing the puppet so easily. She and her sect pretty much got what they wanted for nothing... in first years they just monitored progress of puppet sect to know when to act and when it was time to act Lin Dong did the dead.

Because the author used his ultimate plot power for MC. :D

This episode didn't disappoint, had me in a deep trance, in the moment enjoying every minute, until I noticed the end of the episode was near smh. Well one more episode until this season ends, another great series to be continued.

But I saw BTTH scenes and his childhood friend is a beauty, I'm glad they gave her looks justice and her model is better. Now he has another attractive hottie in the ranks, with her on his arm, he'll be the man aha.

I loved the part where Lin Dong punched the hell outta old fart, like bruh shut up ya sect ain't bout to mount to sh1t going against my dawg Lin and another plot armor gain three at once in this episode lol. I mean miss QianQian might be interested in Lin out of curiousness of his power gain see potential in him, or you know plot armor attract the hotties XD. Easy enough he would meet another ancestral master to give him another boost in upgrading to the next level, especially that high tech rune puppet.
